How to Replace the Cap Sensor Switch

1. Turn off the power to your plasma cutter.
2. Disconnect the torch from the plasma cutter.
3. Remove the four screws that hold the torch head in place.
4. Carefully remove the torch head.
5. Locate the cap sensor switch. It is a small, black switch located on the front of the torch head.
6. Disconnect the wires from the cap sensor switch.
7. Remove the two screws that hold the cap sensor switch in place.
8. Remove the cap sensor switch.
9. Install the new cap sensor switch.
10. Replace the two screws that hold the cap sensor switch in place.
11. Reconnect the wires to the cap sensor switch.
12. Replace the torch head.
13. Replace the four screws that hold the torch head in place.
14. Reconnect the torch to the plasma cutter.
15. Turn on the power to your plasma cutter.
