The Hypertherm 128881 coolant flow switch is a safety device that monitors the flow of coolant in a CNC plasma cutting system. The switch is installed in the coolant supply line and will shut off the plasma cutter if the coolant flow is interrupted. This helps to prevent the plasma torch from overheating and damaging the workpiece.
The 128881 coolant flow switch is a normally closed switch. This means that the switch is closed when there is no coolant flow. When the coolant flow is interrupted, the switch opens and the plasma cutter is shut off.
The switch has a 1/4" NPT male inlet and a 1/4" NPT female outlet. The switch can be mounted in any orientation.
