GIF loses vector scaling and reduces artwork to a 256-color pixel image. PNG or WebP is usually better for modern use.

Transparent areas can use one-bit GIF transparency, but partial transparency is not retained.

External fonts, images, styles, animation, and interactivity may not render. Self-contained SVG files work best.
